Henry Sensei started training in Shotokan Karate at the age of eighteen and received a 3rd Kyu grade from Enoeda Sensei. After returning from university in Canada and then qualifying as a science teacher he studied Wing Tsun Kung Fu under Sifu Simon Lau and received a lower rank certificate (No: 187).
With middle age approaching fast he was on the look out for a martial art to see him into his old age. Knowing very little about aikido he started to train (in October 2000) at the Meidokan under Rubens Sensei. After being made redundant from his job in London he settled in Belper and started training at the Stafford under Savery Sensei. On the 30th November 2008 (having done almost 1500 hours training in the last four years) he was awarded Shodan by Crawford Sensei the Head Instructor of the Goryukai.
Classroom Training Prices
Once a week training costs £20 per month
Twice a week training costs £30 per month
Twice a week training + 1st Sunday of the month costs £35 per month
